1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Lux ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
Lux is a web and mobile application that provides Scripture reading (KJV), AI-powered Bible study assistance, and curated music for reflection. The Service is provided by HRB Studios ("we," "us," or "our").
Account types include: (1) Free account — access to KJV Bible reading only; AI chat, music, and other features require a paid subscription. (2) Paid subscription — Companion, Study, or Deep Study tiers with the features described at the time of purchase. (3) Free trial — new users may receive a 7-day trial of a chosen plan; no payment is required during the trial. During the trial, if you choose the Deep Study plan, you receive Study-level features until you subscribe; full Deep Study features unlock after payment.
Lux is designed for personal reflection, study, and prayer support when you choose it. It does not replace clergy, counseling, medical care, legal advice, or other professional services. You are responsible for how you use the Service.
2.1 Age Requirements
Lux is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, you may not use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you should use Lux with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Subscription and Payment
Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe; in the Lux Android app, subscriptions are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google's payment and refund policies. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings (web) or Google Play subscription management (Android). Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are provided in accordance with our refund policy and, for in-app purchases, Google Play's policies.
5. Free Trial and Free Account
Free trial: Eligible new users may receive a 7-day free trial of a chosen plan (Companion, Study, or Deep Study). The trial begins upon account registration. No payment is required during the trial. If you select Deep Study for your trial, you receive Study-level features during the trial; full Deep Study features (including premium AI) are available after you subscribe. After the trial ends, you must subscribe to continue using premium features.
Free account: You may instead create a free account, which provides access to KJV Bible reading only. AI chat, music, community features, and other premium functionality require upgrading to a paid subscription.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Share your account credentials with others
7. Intellectual Property
All content provided through the Service, including but not limited to music tracks, is owned by HRB Studios or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without express written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
HRB Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
